    6/26:In Rolling Thunder Modifieds, Joe Scarbrough led the entire race despite a collision in lap 68 with A.J. Winstead as he tried to block Winstead’s pass. Winstead ended up stuck in the third turn wall, and athe Red Flag was bought out. Winstead’s crew made repairs as he returned to the race. Chris Hoylman was second and Jimmy Humblet was third.

  2. WINSTEAD GETS 2ND VICTORY OF THE YEAR – Shenandoah Speedway

    8/14: Joe Scarborough started from the pole as qualifing was rained out and the line up was set by series points. Scarborough stayed out front until lap 46 when his ill-handling car was passed by A.J. Winstead. Winstead was never challenged the remaining 29 laps as he cruised to the win from his 5th place starting spot.

  3. Winstead Wins Rolling Thunder Modified Series Race – South Boston Speedway

    8/28: A.J. Winstead of Richmond, Va. took the lead from Joe Scarbrough of Gordonsville, Va. on the 26th lap and held on the rest of the way to win the 75-lap race for the regional touring Rolling Thunder Modifieds Racing Series.

    Winstead pulled away from Scarbrough and the rest of the field on the race’s final restart with 10 laps to go and edged Scarbrough by .398-second.

    The win was Winstead’s third victory of the season in the series.

    Hunter Slayton finished third with Mike Rudy taking fourth place and Trevor Edwards of Shepherdsville, Ky. rounding out the top five finishers.
