  2. Shifting Gears for 2012

    After a mildly successful season both racing Modifieds (99) part-time and their Late Model Stock Car (00), the Winstead Motorsports Crew is making a move. During 2011, the 99 and 00 cars had consistent finishes which resulted in 2 wins, 2 second place runs and many more top 5 and top 10 runs. While running two different type cars in at several different tracks was challenging, the Team is making the move to the NASCAR Whelan Southern Modified Tour. We are looking forward to the change in Venues and Competition. The Winstead Motorsports crew has decided to forgo their normal beginning of the year racing adventure to Speedweeks at New Smyrna Speedway in FL in order to complete the building on their Troyer Modified…..stay tuned!
